This is an almost incredibly rich dessert, and yet beguilingly simple. Serve it up and weave some mad tale about how it takes hours to stir softly steaming honey together with fresh lily stalks and fine clotted cream.
Whip the cream in a roomy bowl until it forms stiff peaks. In another bowl, mix a quarter of the whipped cream with the lemon curd until the lemon is well mixed in, then add the rest of the cream and the grated lemon zest to it and mix it all in well.
Quarter the strawberries, and arrange a layer of these in each of four small, or two large, dessert glasses. Add a layer of the lemon cream. Repeat until all glasses are filled, ideally with a layer of strawberries on the top.
Chill before serving, ideally with a long bath and a glass of champagne. Ahaha.
