Grills are big in Arab food but so, for festivals and celebrations, are 'mutton grabs', different versions of the Bedu dish of rice with a roasted animal served over it. Yummy!

 

Many Khaleeji dishes use a 'masala' or spice mixture, influenced by India, but unique to the region: it's called baharat.
